Well I am back! I had an amazing break over Term 2 and feel very refreshed and empowered to serve from the overflow of His grace, love and mercy!!! He is an amazing God and His plan for each one of us is wonderful and exciting!!
The most important thing we can do for our Children is to equip them for life. To place “Tools and Weapons in our kids hands!” They are daily faced with the challenges of being in this world but not part of this world – more than most of us adults are! And I feel it is our job as leaders and parents to equip our kids with the tools and weapons necessary to face the world during their daily walk.
I pray that as adults amongst these little ones, that we will be a people that believe in His power, His saving grace and His provision!! May we be seeking to know God – so that we can bring His fullness to these precious little ones!!
It is our responsibility and privilege as His children - to fulfil our highest calling: and that is to KNOW HIM!!
God bless!!
Sharon

Men let’s take these three words as points of focus for us this year – Truth, Power and Purpose.
Truth. The early gold miners quickly learned that not everything that looked like gold actually was. If they weren’t sure what they had found was genuine they developed tests like scratching it on a white ceramic dish. True gold left a yellow streak. Men we need to equip ourselves to be discerning. In First Thessalonians 5.21-22 Paul tells us to “test everything; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” We are not told to judge |

Attention women of the Lakes. Do you want more out of your prayer life? Do you want to draw closer to God but don’t have the time?
We believe that we need to make time to pray …
‘The great freight and passenger trains are never too busy to stop for fuel. No matter how congested the yards may be, no matter how crowded the schedules are, no matter how many things demand the attention of the trainmen, those trains always stop for fuel.’ M. E. Andross
… and a weekend away with like minded women, fabulous food, uplifting worship and inspiring teaching is a great place to start. (Tempted yet?) |

What a wonderful privilege it is to teach RE each week at Edge Hill Primary. Sharon Price and myself along with Craig Kingsley from Good Shepherd church have been working with Grade 6 & 7 this year.
This term we have been looking at how God’s word can help us in life. (see 2 Tim 3:16) Early in the term some of the kids asked if they could have a Bible of their own and it was such a special day when we were able to give each of the kids a bible of their own. Already some of the kids are getting into them and asking questions about what they read.

By now Penny Grummitt will have left Australia for England to spend some time with her mum. But by the middle of July she will be arriving in Kenya, Africa, to spend 2 weeks with the Mully Children’s Family mission. Charles Mulli, who was a Kenyan street kid himself, and whom God moved to invest his life in helping kids who seemingly had no hope and no love in their lives, founded this mission in 1989. |
