“Worship is what flows spontaneously out of us when we come face-to-face with Him. It’s the natural response to all of who He is – our uncalculated response to all He has done.” – Louie Giglio

Hello!

I love that quote above. Worship is not something we turn on or off, we continually worship something. But when we come face-to-face with God, when we see Him, His glory, His goodness, when we, as the psalmist says “Taste and see that the Lord is good…” (Psalm 34:8), worship is our response. The more we see and know God, the more our worship will naturally flow in response to Him.

At the end of May we held something called ‘Seasonal Worship’. This was a night of coming before God with the specific purpose of spending time in His presence, and to join together in prayer and worship to Him who alone is worthy.

Our worship is not based on the seasons. What’s going on in our life should not dictate if we give our worship to God. But the different seasons we go through can bring out different ways that we relate to God, that we see Him. They can bring out different characteristics of Him that we can praise.

As winter comes to a close, we enter spring. Spring is a reminder of hope, of the beauty of life, of the creativity of God. Spring brings new life! These are just some of the things on an endless list that we can praise God for.

The next Seasonal Worship night will be Saturday, August 30, starting at 6:45pm. It’s a chance to gather together, to seek God, to worship Him, to be yourself before Him, as He made you to be. In other words, doing what you were created to do, for who created you to do it. Hope to see you there.

Liam.

Psalm 111

Hallelujah! I give thanks to God with everything I've got—

Wherever good people gather, and in the congregation.

God's works are so great…

Splendor and beauty mark his craft;

This God of Grace, this God of Love.
