Wow what a year… at YZone we have seen the birth of Suburban and it has proven to go well. An opportunity for deeper relationships and deeper learning of what God has to say to us. We have
started to mould One Youth more in a direction that truly shows unity amongst the churches involved, and I with 3 other associates (Good Shepherd, Presbyterian and Baptist) have made the commitment to meet regularly to build and encourage each other as we learn to encourage your children.

As I have gotten more involved at Trinity Bay High School, I have worked along side the police officer and school counsellor caring for young people that have no friendship group or healthy home situation. The counsellor has acknowledged that the best place for these young people is to get them involved in our youth program. Whatever the motivation, we need to be in prayer for these young people and the school team looking after them. We need to equip our young people so they can
impact their schools.

So…here’s the challenge…

WE NEED LEADERS THAT ARE CALLED INTO YOUTH MINISTRY!!!!

Faith Hope Love organic has really been a place of encouragement and growth. Not just in numbers but in patience and waiting… the prayer is that it is recognised as a place for seekers… not in the traditional sense of how churches use this term but those in and out of faith that are genuinely looking to grow in the word and be challenged by what the word has for us today.

Backpackers… they’re still coming from all around the world, and they still need Jesus… we are hoping to review how we do this ministry. I am hoping to run some training about this ministry so
that if you are interested you can come and see and equip yourself before you commit and find it may not be your call. Remember you do not have to leave Cairns to impact the world for Jesus!!!
